Sunday Thought
“… I wound, and I heal…” Deuteronomy 32:39
Since hurts come to all, the question is – Are our past wounds scars or scabs? Scars say, “I have healed”, but scabs say, “I have not yet healed”. Scars are toughened skin but scabs are tender. A good indication of whether our old wounds are scars or scabs is whether we are still talking about the hurt years later. Wounds that become scars can be used to help others with their own hurts, but wounds that remain as scabs can be a stumbling block to other believers.
