A Wise Servant?

“The king’s favour is toward a wise servant: but his wrath is against him that causeth shame.” Proverbs 14:35

When reading this verse recently, I compared it to the King of Kings, Christ Jesus, and us as His servants. This made me consider which category I would fall under – the wise servant or the one who causes only shame. As saved people, we are one or the other; there is no “in-between”. The Lord is today looking upon us with either favor or with wrath! Only we, as individuals, can determine which it will be. Will we be a wise servant or will we bring shame and dishonor to our Saviour’s name? I hope we desire to be that wise servant! By God’s grace, let us go “all-out” for Him as we desire to please none other than our Lord and Saviour Who is the King of Kings!!
