Little Boys & A Mud Puddle

The pictures below were taken a couple of months ago, when Courtney and the babies came for a visit. That particular morning, instead of being a….umm….”responsible Nana”, I sat on the porch swing and thoroughly enjoyed watching (and capturing) the attraction and progression of little boys and a mud puddle.

What started out as squatting down around the edge of that puddle ended with sitting down right in the middle of it…as well as a good ol’ head-dunking at the very end. Isn’t that just like temptation?

The good news that day was, that this Nana didn’t get into too much trouble…especially after I got them all squeaky clean again. Spiritually speaking, when we find ourselves sitting in the middle of a puddle, the good news is:

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”  I John 1:9
