A Double Reminder
I love it when the Lord gives double reminders as He did this morning…
“And kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with joy: for the LORD had made them joyful, and turned the heart of the king of Assyria unto them, to strengthen their hands in the work of the house of God, the God of Israel.” Ezra 6:22
As I read the above verse in Ezra, it immediately reminded me of Proverbs 21:1…and then I realized that today was April 21 so that particular chapter in Proverbs was our chapter for the day! Just as the heart of the king is in the hand of the Lord, so is the heart of anyone for whom we may be praying! Thank you, Lord, for that double reminder this morning…
“The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.” Proverbs 21:1 Amen!
