Beware Of Light Dimmers!
“Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;” Philippians 2:14,15
HAPPY SUNDAY, FOLKS!! 🙂 While reading the above verses this morning, a fairly recent incident came to my mind. I was chatting with a dear sister and as we talked about the unpredictable weather we were having at the time, her husband interrupted our conversation with a question – “Are you complaining?” 🙂 Now, his tone was not harsh at all but his question did serve as a gentle reproof.
It is quite evident all around us that our country is turning its back on God. As Christians, we can see this as an opportunity to shine brighter for the glory of God. One way to do this, as indicated in the above passage, is to be ever mindful of our attitude. Are we habitual complainers? Do we look for things about which to argue? Characteristics such as these will dim our light. I will admit, this is convicting to me! Let’s strive together to keep our light shining brightly!
