Once For All!
The girls and I are sprucing up the porch railings today…
Although painting isn’t my favorite thing on earth to do, I really don’t mind it…and I LOVE seeing the difference of a fresh coat…
Now, what I don’t like to think about is the fact that this will have to be repeated before we know it…
But, we’ll just enjoy the present clean look, right? 🙂
Before I accepted Christ as my Saviour, there was no amount of whitewash whatsoever that could cleanse my heart from sin. No amount of good deeds…no amount of cleaning myself up on the outside…no amount of “being a good girl” could pay my sin debt. It wasn’t until I, as an eight-year-old girl, realized my sinful condition and asked the Lord to save me that I truly was CLEAN! Christ’s shed blood cleansed me from ALLLLL my sin! And you know what? I’ll never have to be washed again. The transaction that took place in my life 46 years ago was complete the moment I trusted in Him alone to save me! Praise the Lord!
Free from the law, O happy condition,
Jesus has bled and there is remission,
Cursed by the law and bruised by the fall,
Grace hath redeemed us once for all.
Once for all, O sinner, receive it,
Once for all, O brother, believe it;
Cling to the cross, the burden will fall,
Christ hath redeemed us once for all.
Now we are free, there’s no condemnation,
Jesus provides a perfect salvation.
“Come unto Me,” O hear His sweet call,
Come, and He saves us once for all.
Once for all, O sinner, receive it,
Once for all, O brother, believe it;
Cling to the cross, the burden will fall,
Christ hath redeemed us once for all.
“Children of God,” O glorious calling,
Surely His grace will keep us from falling;
Passing from death to life at His call;
Blessèd salvation once for all.
Once for all, O sinner, receive it,
Once for all, O brother, believe it;
Cling to the cross, the burden will fall,
Christ hath redeemed us once for all.
