Peace

“The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace.” Psalm 29:11

Reading the above verse this morning reminded me of a brief conversation I had this past Sunday with a dear sister. The topic was the burdens we both have, but the conclusion was the PEACE that we have experienced by giving those cares to the Lord and allowing HIM to be our Burden Bearer. Do I, at times, reach out and take those burdens back? Yes. Does she? Yes. But we certainly don’t have to. As the above verse says, God promises strength and peace to His own. However, that peace of mind as well as strength to go on will only come when we give our cares to Him.

Is your strength failing this morning? Do you feel lifeless? Have you lost your joy? Were you up again last night…worrying yourself sick?  Won’t you give your burdens back to the Lord where they belong? He is in complete control of each of our situations. We can trust Him. Aren’t you glad?

“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” Isaiah 26:3
