Asking For A Hard Thing

Here is another devotional, taken from a new devotion book I started this year:

The following is actually yesterday’s reading but was a tremendous encouragement to me. This past week, I have been reminded that when we are “asking for a hard thing”, the adversary does not like it at all and will do anything to get our spirits out of sort, our thoughts off of the thing for which we have been praying, and our eyes off of the Lord. He knows the power of prayer and he will fight to try to hinder our prayer lives and thus keep us from obtaining victory. BUT….”greater is HE that is in you than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4) Thank God!

I pray that this will encourage you to keep asking for that hard thing!
