Surrounded by the Promises of God!
This past Sunday, the girls and I ended a two-week visit to New Mexico! While out there, we were privileged to work in the church camp as well as love on the GRANDbabies. ❤️
The evening that we arrived in Santa Fe, this is what we saw from the local Walmart parking lot…
Exactly two weeks later, on this past Saturday evening, this is what we saw from our family’s deck…
The next day, as we began traveling back east after their morning service, we began seeing rainbow after rainbow along the way – probably 8 to 10 reminders of God’s promise! It was truly amazing! I told Bethany and Anna, “Girls, we are literally SURROUNDED by the promises of God!!!”
As the Lord so often does, yesterday morning He gave me yet another reminder of His precious promises! Below is the devotional from yesterday’s “Streams in the Desert”.
I love that last question in the devotional:
“How can God say no to something He has promised?”
He can’t!! God cannot lie – He is GOD – therefore, as His children, we can fully trust Him to keep His Word!
Ahhh…this morning, as I reflect back on the last couple of weeks, I am overwhelmed by the Lord’s goodness and mercy toward me – to continually remind me that He is in control, every single one of His precious promises is true and I can trust Him COMPLETELY!! What a loving, personal God we serve! ❤️
“And, behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth: and ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the Lord your God spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, and not one thing hath failed thereof.”
Joshua 23:14
