No Limits!
As grocery stores continue to strive to keep items stocked throughout our country’s pandemic, the sign below has become a familiar sight on select shelves.
Yesterday afternoon, while reflecting on this latest action that grocery stores have been forced to take, I couldn’t help but turn my thoughts to the Lord. Do you realize that God has never, ever had to post a sign such as the above? Think about that for a minute!
Whatever our circumstance, God’s grace is sufficient!
“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee:” II Corinthians 12:9
Whatever our need, He promises to supply!
“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19
His mercies are new EVERY morning!
“It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22,23
His wisdom is ours for the asking!
“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” James 1:5
Absolutely NOTHING can separate us from His love!
“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Ro 8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38,39
His ability is FAR BEYOND our comprehension!
“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.” Ephesians 3:20,21
We could go on and on, couldn’t we? Thinking on all of this reminded me of a song titled “He Giveth More Grace”. The chorus goes like this:
His love has no limit; His grace has no measure.
His pow’r has no boundary known unto men;
For out of His infinite riches in Jesus,
He giveth, and giveth, and giveth again!

My thought for this evening is simply this – are we limiting God? We may quickly deny such a thing but if we are honest with ourselves, could we say that our prayer lives reflect that we truly believe God is NOT limited? Do our prayers give testimony to our belief that God can do ANYTHING? Or, each morning as we enter our prayer closet, are we doing so with a “limit one” post-it note to place in plain view? Ahhh…this evening, may we be reminded that we serve the God of NO LIMITS!!
“Beware in your prayers, above everything else, of limiting God, not only by unbelief, but by fancying that you know what He can do.” ~ Andrew Murray
