“As Is”
My eyes are always on the look-out for good deals – I mean REALLY good deals! When I saw the $1.00 sticker on this blouse the other day I got pretty excited…for maybe a half second. My eyes went quickly from the super cheap price to “As is”.
It didn’t take me long to see just why this blouse was marked down to $1.00 – nor did it take me long to push it to the side as I continued to look. I may be able to sew a little bit, but this project was just not worth the trouble to me.
When I asked the Lord to save me as an 8-year-old girl, I am so very thankful that He didn’t push me aside. I thank God that He saw me as one “worth the trouble” to send His only Son into this world to die for MY sins! I praise Him that, since that night I trusted in Christ alone for salvation, the Master Tailor (if I may) has continued to mend all my rips and tears. Yes, the needle has been painful and the shears have seemed to cut mercilessly at times but every single stitch..every single cut has been necessary. The many times that I have gone astray, He has so lovingly taken me back “As is” and made the alterations necessary for my now “plan B life”…or C…or D…etc. What a merciful Saviour! Aren’t you thankful that we serve an “As is” God?
