Prayer Warriors
In an apparent effort to downplay those who take their prayer lives seriously, I have heard it said that praying is not serving but rather a selfish act. I was shocked when I heard it as my thoughts immediately went to Epaphras…
“Epaphras, who is one of you, a SERVANT of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.”
Colossians 4:12 KJV
I don’t know about you, but I am THANKFUL for those who serve in the ministry of intercessory prayer. I NEED other believers to pray for me and am humbled when I hear that someone has labored for ME in prayer by taking MY burdens to the throne of God.
THAT is selfLESS, Christ-like love! ❤️
“Ye also helping together by prayer for us…” II Corinthians 1:11
“And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she was of a great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity; And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but SERVED God with fastings and prayers night and day.”
Luke 2:36-37 KJV
“Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:”
2 Thessalonians 3:1 KJV
