📚 Book Preview 📚
If I could have peered into the future to see what God would require of me in order to complete my book, I would have turned around and run for my life. 😢 Truly, it is God’s mercy that we cannot see what lies ahead! He promises to give us strength for this day – and that is enough.
Back in August of 2017, the rough draft I had in my hand was placed on the back burner and, instead of that book going to the publisher, I found myself enrolled in God’s School of Adversity. I assure you, it was not a voluntary enrollment…but one that the Lord saw as necessary in my life. I don’t know how long the courses should have taken. No doubt, they were extended many times due to the slow learner that I am.
On December 31, 2022 – almost 5 1/2 years later – God gave me the green light to add more content to that rough draft. I gave myself a deadline. A week later, God confirmed His approval with a phone call and the very same deadline I had set!
Concerning our lives, it has been said that we are either going through a trial, have just come through a trial, or are getting ready to enter one. Although this book is not a personal documentation of the past 5 1/2 years, it does contain Biblical truths and lessons learned during that time in my life. My prayer is that, no matter where the reader may find themselves, they will be encouraged, reminded, or even challenged in this journey called life.
